Rejuvenating an existing lawn with fertilizer and weed control agents can only accomplish so much. In some cases, lawns are too far gone to salvage and must be sodded. In these instances, an on-site evaluation is performed to diagnose the reason why grass was lost in the first place. Typically, grass is lost to poor or faulty irrigation, insect infestation, fungal disease, shade, or leaf smothering. A combination of any of these factors can result in even further grass loss. Before a sod installation , we always attempt to remedy the underlying problem in order to protect the material and labor investment. If the problem area is not capable of growing healthy grass, we will offer an alternative, long term solution such as ground cover, ornamental plants, stone, or mulch.
